Over 11 days, this private chauffeured tour links Andalucía’s historic Sherry bodegas with the vineyards of Ronda and Montilla-Moriles, alongside Seville, Córdoba, Granada and Málaga. Drawing on more than 20 years’ experience planning private food and wine travel, we select and confirm the winery visits, guides, hotels and restaurants in advance for your party.
Andalusia, in southern Spain, is a fascinating destination for wine tours, with its historic Sherry bodegas clustered around Jerez, contemporary vineyards around Ronda and newer wine estates near Arcos de la Frontera. It is an enormous region, stretching from Huelva on the Portuguese border to Almería in the east, with snowy peaks, olive groves, dramatic coastlines and the marshes of Doñana.
The Phoenicians brought vines to the Jerez region around 1100 BC, and archaeologists have found wine presses at Castillo de Doña Blanca near Jerez. On this private tour, you will visit historic Sherry bodegas and smaller estates elsewhere in Andalucía. You will learn about the Sherry Triangle of Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María, and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, with tasting styles that may include Manzanilla, Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso, Palo Cortado, and Pedro Ximénez.
You will have a private chauffeured Mercedes throughout the tour, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the vino. Beginning in Málaga, the 11-day route takes in Ronda, Grazalema, Jerez, Seville, Córdoba and Granada before returning to Málaga. Privately arranged winery visits include Descalzos Viejos near Ronda, Huerta de Albalá near Arcos de la Frontera, Fernando de Castilla in Jerez, and Alvear and Bodegas Robles in Montilla-Moriles.
Dining is always an important aspect of our wine tours, and the journey combines ambitious tasting menus with traditional tapas, seafood, olive oil and regional cooking. Private guides bring Andalucía’s Phoenician, Roman, Jewish, Islamic, and Christian history into focus, while free time lets you explore on your own.
This is a sample itinerary. We will select and confirm your final hotels, restaurants, winery visits, and guides in advance in your personal proposal. If you love food and wine and want to explore southern Spain with private arrangements, contact us to start planning your Andalucía tour.
