You will be picked up by your luxury chauffeur-driven Mercedes from Barcelona airport (port or hotel) and whisked away into the beautiful Priorat countryside. Just an hour and a half drive away, nestled in the hills, is your first stop: Capçanes.
Rich in viticultural history dating back to the 13th century, Capçanes was recognized internationally for its superior quality when, in 1995, the Barcelona Jewish community requested kosher wines. Since then, they haven’t looked back. These wines are now a leading reference of kosher wine worldwide and pioneers in Priorat, at the forefront of DO Montsant’s international recognition.
Next, enjoy a horse ride through the vines, feeling the breeze and enjoying the beautiful landscape before settling into a private wine-tasting session. Savor their white from White Grenache and Macabeu, 100% Carignan, 100% Pinot Noir, and the remarkable “La Flor del Flor de Primavera” from 100% Grenache old vines (85-105 years old).
Carry on to Falset, where the annual Fira del Vi (wine fair) is held. A special five-course tasting menu paired with stellar wines awaits at Aspic. Priorat
This morning you are in for a real treat with a private wine-tasting tour at Mas Doix. Although relatively new on the scene, having been established in 1998, this family-run winery with a long viticultural history quickly soared to prestigious heights.
The winery’s Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles, crafted from ancient Garnacha Tinta and Cariñena grapes, earned a 98-point rating from Robert Parker. During your comprehensive winery tour and vineyard walk, you’ll explore the sun-kissed terraces of Carignan and the gentle slopes of Grenache overlooking the Siurana River. The experience will culminate in a tasting where you’ll sample this acclaimed wine and other selections from their exquisite range.

Here, Chef Pieter Truyts will delight your palate with heavenly dishes like “Red wine sausage” that melts in your mouth and the truly remarkable “Stewed Eel in Grenache with seasonal mushrooms,” finishing with the utterly divine “Honey Parfait with dried prunes and pine nuts.”
The afternoon offers a cultural exploration of the quaint hamlet of Ulldemolins, situated in the Montsant Valley. You’ll discover perfectly preserved monumental buildings, including St. Bartholomew Chapel, one of the region’s best examples of Romanesque-style architecture. Enjoy some free time to make the most of your last night in Priorat and reflect on a day filled with exceptional flavors and sights.
Priorat
Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast before checking out of your accommodation. Just a short drive away awaits the mythical Clos Mogador winery, a wonderful family affair rich in viticultural history and known as a founder of the Priorat revolution. The owners firmly believe in nurturing their terroir with organic practices, even encouraging wild herbs to grow alongside the vines. One quirky practice here is using an olive press that extracts only half the juice of a typical wine press, resulting in intensely concentrated wines – pure elixirs that are robust yet elegant.
The finale to this terrific Priorat trip is a visit to the prestigious Costers del Siurana winery. Established in the late 1970s by the dynamic husband and wife team, enologist Mariona Jarque, and journalist Carles Pastrana, this winery stands as a testament to an inspirational project of recovery, renovation, and dedication. During your visit, you’ll taste internationally recognized stars like Clos de L’Obac and Dolç de L’Obac, both extraordinary examples of blending potent old vines with younger varietals, achieving a sensational balance of intensity and finesse.
As morning turns into afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable farewell lunch at Restaurante Cellers de Gratallops, also owned by Carles Pastrana. The feast will include artichoke toasted on an open flame, topped with aubergine, octopus, fresh sea bass, and black rice. To round off this sumptuous meal, indulge in a delicious homemade dessert, leaving your taste buds satisfied and your memories of Priorat sweetly etched in your mind.
Your chauffeur will then transfer you for an evening arrival in Barcelona, where you will be dropped off at the airport, hotel, or your next port of call. This concludes your ultimate Priorat wine adventure, a journey filled with exceptional flavors and sights.

You can be proud of how you have arranged this tour. Both vineyards were excellent and we were very nicely treated by both Carles Pastrana and Marta Rovira.
A personality like Carles Pastrana is of course somewhat beyond and above the normal level. We had an excellent lunch at Costers Del Siurana`s restaurant. To summarize everything was on or above our expectations and we will return one day.
