Palma de Mallorca airport - Palma Historic Old Town
Arrive at Palma de Mallorca airport. Your charming personal chauffeur will await you at the airport and escort you to your luxury hotel in a comfortable Mercedes. There, you’ll have some free time to freshen up before lunch. Your driver will then meet you in the lobby again and take you on a short drive through the well-kept, historic center to the romantic venue where your elegant but unfussy Michelin-starred lunch awaits.
Marc Fosh, Mallorca’s most renowned gourmet chef, has transformed the island’s food scene over the past 20 years since he arrived from the UK. This restaurant is in a very atmospheric converted 17th-century convent (now a trendy hotel). Enjoy a chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings and tantalizingly beautiful dishes such as wild sea bass with saffron and potato-leek terrine, smoked tomato consommé with fresh tuna tartar, and peach with acacia & coconut-aloe vera sorbet.
After lunch, your local private guide will escort you on an entertaining walking tour of the marvelous old town’s highlights to help you escape the jet lag. Your tour will begin with visiting the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria, also known as “La Seu.” Construction of this architectural gem began in the early 1200s and was completed nearly 400 years later. It’s truly a wonder, and your guide will share fun anecdotes and curiosities with you and show you the Gaudí designed baldachin and a peculiar art masterpiece designed by local artist Miquel Barceló.
Next, you’ll admire the world’s largest Gothic rose window, followed by breathtaking views from the terraces and bell tower, extending as far as Bellver Castle. Following this, you’ll briefly visit the Palau de l’Almudaina, located directly across from the cathedral. This 10th-century Moorish fortress (wholly renovated in Gothic Palatial style by King Jaume II of Mallorca in the early 1300s) features stunning, vaulted rooms full of ancient tapestries, Knight’s armor, and antiques, as well as Moorish-style gardens complete with swans. Weave your way through the medieval streets of “El Casco Antiguo” next and conclude a terrific afternoon with a glass of wine on a rooftop terrace like the Sky Bar with exceptional views over the entire Bay of Palma or in a cozy tree-lined plaza.
The evening is yours to relish the comforts of your luxurious hotel Sant Francesc, a 19th-century mansion situated in the heart of downtown. You can watch the sunset on your hotel’s rooftop bar with its panoramic view of the Sant Francesc Basilica and grab a light dinner on-site or head to the marina for a seafront supper. We highly recommend El Nautico, situated in the Royal Nautical Club, which offers stunning views and nautical décor. The famous Tast Culinary Project runs the club and is an “on-trend” spot to enjoy baked monkfish and seafood rice while enjoying a view of the yachts moored in the harbor.
Palma - Algaida - Manacor - Canyamel - Capdepera - Campos
After breakfast, your friendly chauffeur will meet you at the hotel, and you will hit the road for the wine country. You’ll be driving east, and the first stop is at the evocative Oliver Moragues estate, a hidden countryside gem surrounded by forests rich in biodiversity. This prestigious property is as pretty as a picture, featuring a historic stone manor house, tidy organic vines, and fabulous private corners for wine tasting. Carlos Moragues, a descendant of the estate’s original owners—who founded the vineyard in the early 1500s—is the young, friendly winemaker currently in charge. He has gained international fame for his small production of high-quality wines under the IGP Mallorca appellation, like “La Faula” (made with Gorgollassa, Callet & Cabernet Sauvignon grapes) and Somera nº1 (made with 100% Manto Negro).
You will spend a lovely morning here, learning all about the estate’s history and winemaking techniques. Then, sit down to a convivial alfresco wine tasting of the full range, overlooking the vines and soothing panorama. Your host will provide sumptuous snacks such as savory pies, figs, local cheese, salted almonds, and more, along with the wine.
A brief drive takes you to your next wine experience at Bodega Vins Miquel Gelabert, Mallorca’s most highly awarded winery. Run by the effervescent, self-taught vinous genius Miquel Gelabert Fullana, this artisan estate is, without a doubt, making some of the best wines on the island. Enjoy a short visit to their wine cellar in town, dating back to the early 1900s, and sit down to an engaging, educational, and fun private tasting session.
After a busy morning tasting new and exciting Mallorcan wines, you can look forward to lunch next, overlooking the sea in an idyllic location. Breathe in the fresh sea air while unwinding over grilled aged steak and fresh seafood, served with wine pairings at Restaurante Foc Asador de Mar at the Pleta de Mar nature resort. Enjoy the views of wild olive groves, pine trees, and the sparkling Mediterranean.
It is a ten-minute drive to a terrific fortified village and castle where you will have some free time to stroll around, stretch your legs, grab a coffee, or pick up some gifts. Next, you’ll visit Capdepera, whose castle is straight from a movie set. Constructed in the 13th century over the remains of a Moorish settlement, this impressive and striking fortress citadel is an architectural highlight of the trip.
Your chauffeur will take you to your retreat 5* spa hotel Sa Creu Nova at your preferred time in the early evening, where you will have a free evening. You can enjoy a spa treatment before dinner if you like. For fine haute cuisine, we recommend your hotel’s chic Tess de Mar restaurant.
Camí de Son Fangós, Manacor - Marina Cala d'Or - Campos
You have a wonderful day in store, combining pristine countryside and azure sea coves. Start with a private olive oil experience at Finca Aubocassa, the island’s most high-end and exclusive producer. Owned by the elite Rioja wine producer Roda (who also owns Bodegas La Horra in Ribera del Duero), the noble estate is dreamy and dates back to the 12th century. Apart from the ancient olive groves, the property features a gorgeous country manor house, fig, almond, carob trees, and a Renaissance chapel.
The property makes two super-premium brands of extra virgin olive oils with the protected appellation “Oli de Mallorca” – Aubocassa (100% Arbequina olives) and L’Amo Aubocassa (made from Arbequina and Picual olives) – and there is no wonder they call these luscious oils “liquid gold”! Your hosts will give you a private tour of the Finca and the olive press, and then you will sit in a sun-soaked corner where you’ll taste the olive oils with other gourmet snacks, accompanied by fine wines from their Rioja and Ribera del Duero estates.
Your next adventure awaits aboard the Vita Bel II, a majestic yacht featuring a 16-meter teak deck. Greet your courteous captain, Nigel, and initiate this memorable voyage with a toast, raising glasses of premium Cava. As we set sail toward the pine-clad haven of Cala Mondragó, you’ll find yourself immersed in unparalleled luxury and scenic beauty.
En route, we’ll steer toward hidden ultramarine coves, where you can indulge in secluded swimming and snorkeling excursions. Prefer to unwind? Savor a glass of fine wine or a chilled beverage as Captain Nigel expertly prepares a barbecue lunch for you. As the evening draws closer, you will set sail on your return journey.
We highly recommend the exquisite Kairiku Japanese restaurant for this evening dining, located just a minute’s walk from your hotel. The chef meticulously curates a nightly menu featuring only the freshest market produce. Each dish is expertly paired with premium sakes, artisanal Japanese beers, Matcha teas, yuzu-infused water, and innovative cocktails.
Campos - Camí de Inca - Alaró - Pollença
Today, you will visit the wine country and head to the northern coast after a rustic lamb restaurant in the mountains that TV celebrity chef Rick Stein said was “the best lamb he’d ever tasted.” After that, your adventure begins near Inca, Mallorca’s shoe and leather capital, with over 100 shoe showrooms and luxury leather outlets (if you want to allocate time for shopping, let us know).
The first winery of the day is Finca Son Bordils, which makes some of our favorite Mallorcan wines. Vineyards have been cultivated on this property for wine production since the 1400s. Still, it was not until the late 1990s that the owners (Pedro and Ramón Coll) rejuvenated the estate, planted native and international varietals on their 34 hectares, and made significant investments that helped catapult their wines onto the international stage. They make a range of mono-varietal wines and blends under the “Vi de la Terra Mallorca” appellation, using Muscat, Chardonnay, Merlot, Manto Negro, Callet, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. You’ll enjoy a private tour and extensive tasting, and if you’re lucky, owner Rámon might be on-site for a chat. He is a history buff and a great character.
After your late wine “breakfast,” the pouring will continue next at the boutique, family-run Son Prim wine estate. The Son Prim winery was founded in the early ’90s by one of Mallorca’s wine visionaries, Jaime Llabrés. He began with a tiny plot where he tested the terroir conditions with native grape varietals like Prensal and international grapes like Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Later, they incorporated Tempranillo, Northern Spain’s noble red grape, into their successful red blend “Cup.” Finally, in the early 2000s, they decided to go for a high-level/low-yield winemaking approach, and today, they are considered one of the best wineries on the island. On their inviting terrace overlooking the vines, you will enjoy a private tour of the stylish winery and a tasting of their entire range, accompanied by Mallorcan canapés. Then it’s time for a special lunch!
Today’s lunch is rustic, no-frills, authentic in a kitsch 1970s tacky kind of way (think paper napkins and farm utensils decorating the walls), and yet it is “a must” while in Mallorca- slow-cooked lamb shoulder roasted on a wood fire, at Es Verger. Your chauffeur will smoothly navigate you toward the picturesque hills, going up towards the Castell Alaró, taking in jaw-dropping views of the mountains as you wind your way up the curvy, James Bond-esque road.
You will be pleased to have a private, experienced chauffeur so you can sit back and relax. On arrival, apart from “those views!” you’ll be hit by the aromas from the “horno de leña” (wood-burning oven). You will swiftly sit down on the terrace with spectacular mountain views to a satisfying lunch of ‘Paletilla de Cordero’ (the famous lamb shoulder), roast potatoes, garlicky aioli, and salad, with homemade almond tart to finish. Simple pleasures. This is the good life!
The quaint town of Pollença is your last stop today, very close to your luxury rural hotel retreat, and you’ll have free time to enjoy a digestive stroll, glass of wine, shopping, and photo ops. This enchanting small town dates back to Ancient Roman times and is a delight to visit with its narrow cobblestoned streets, sculptures, gardens, villas, medieval towers, Templar churches, and 15th-century sanctuary. If you want to rev up your appetite for dinner, you can climb the flight of 365 cypress-lined stone steps (one for each day of the year) up to the chapel, where you will be rewarded with an outstanding panoramic view over the sea. When you are ready to head to your hotel, your chauffeur will take you on the short drive there and get you settled in.
You will feel so pampered at this exquisite Son Brull Relais & Chateaux Hotel and Spa in a former monastery and now one of Mallorca’s best countryside luxury hotels. You can enjoy a spa treatment or massage, walk through the gardens, drink by the pool at sunset, and dine in their superb restaurant.
Pollença - Ctra. Alaró - Lloseta - Consell - Biniagual - Pollença
Taste some of the best wines of the trip today, and visit three of the most beautiful estates on the island. Your morning begins at Castell Miquel, set right in the sublime, lush, green Tramuntana mountain nature reserve, referred to locally as the Garden of Eden. There is a soothing feeling of seclusion and a sense of peace here, and the views of the peaks of the picturesque valley and Castell Alaró are astonishing. Being German-owned (by a famous pharmacist & botany expert, Professor Michael Popp, who also cultivates medicinal plants on the property), there are some quirks you don’t usually find at Spanish wineries that appeal to the German market, such as their unique glass bottle tops (the Vinolok system). In addition, there is a significant focus on wine and health that they will emphasize to you on your private tour and outdoor tasting of their delicious wines, such as their “Stairway to Heaven” and “Owners Edition” lines of wines.
The oldest winery in Mallorca is next, Bodegues Ribas, dating back to 1711. Over 300 years later, the original owner’s descendants still run this jewel and have maintained the refined 18th-century manor house, original barrel cellar, and, of course, the tremendous family legacy. Ribas has 40 hectares of old vines (over 60 years) of native varietals like Prensal Blanc, Mantonegro, Gargollassa, and Callet. They have also incorporated Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot in the last 30 years.
They make a wide range of highly rated, enticing wines like Sió Blanc; Sió Negre; Sió 300 2013 (an extraordinary wine made for their 300th anniversary), and an unusual, tasty treat- a 100% Viognier. You’ll visit the historic cellar after a private guided tour of their scenic vineyards. At the same time, your gracious hosts explain their family’s fascinating history and winemaking philosophy, such as their pioneering hand-selection practice.
You will then sit down to a festive, private wine-pairing lunch in the garden or family villa if the weather does not permit. Taste delicacies like “Suquet de Peix” (Fisherman’s stew) and traditional Mallorcan Suckling pig “Porcella Mallorquina”- all served with the best estate wines, of course.
After a superb morning and lunch, the fun continues at Bodega Biniagual. When you think the landscapes and wine-tasting venues cannot get any better, you arrive at this ancient stone hamlet surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, palm trees, and cypresses. The ancient hamlet is owned by the Biniagual wine estate, transforming it into a real-life fairy tale—making top-tier, outstanding wines within the Binissalem appellation (a region cultivating vines since the 2nd century BC!). You will be swept away on a private tour of the entire hamlet and winery by a passionate member of their team. You then conclude with a tasting of their handcrafted wines like their mouthwatering Finca Biniagual Mantonegro (so good!) and their extravagant Finca Biniagual Gran Verán (a sophisticated blend of Syrah and Mantonegro, one of the best wines in Mallorca).
Next, head back to your resort for a much-deserved siesta, and you will have free time to freshen up and rest before dinner. Your driver will escort you on a 20-minute drive to the coast for dinner tonight. You will be tucking into a light, creative, Michelin-starred cuisine at Maca de Castro in Alcudia’s port, a lovely airy contrast to the farmhouse-style lunch. What an unforgettable day!
Pollença - Fornalutx - Biniaraix - Deià
Drive west to the wild, dazzling coastline of Deià, but first, one more wine stop! Just outside of Pollença, you’ll arrive at the Xaloc wine estate, named after the sultry, southeast winds that help cool the hot summers in Mallorca. This boutique winery is owned and run by German-born Christine Schallock, who will welcome you herself on a private tour of her gorgeous property, Finca “Can Puig.”
Afterward, you will sit down for a cozy, open-air wine tasting of excellent wines from her collection. Sipping a tasty rosé overlooking the vineyards is hard to beat on a warm morning! Switch gears then, and before lunch, you will visit two of the darling villages on the island- Fornalutx and Biniaraix. Located at the base of Puig Mayor (the highest peak in the Sierra de Tramuntana) in the valley of Sóller, Fornalutx was the first Mallorcan hamlet to win the coveted “most beautiful village of Spain” award. The pleasure here is simply strolling along the cobblestoned streets lined with stone villas covered in bougainvillea and taking advantage of all the photo ops and Mediterranean “slow living” vibe. The backdrop of the mountains over this romantic village is awe-inspiring.
Biniaraix is similarly lovely, an idyllic, medieval village seemingly trapped in time that you will be happy you came to see. Soak up the atmosphere and take in those views. This area has fabulous walking trails, and we can gladly weave in a guided mountain walk today if you want to mitigate some of the gourmet excesses of this wine tour.
Speaking of gourmet, lunch today is a foodie highlight of this vacation. Your culinary adventure awaits at the mythical Béns d’Avall, which has been teasing food lovers’ palates since 1971. Chef Benet Vicens took over the family restaurant from his mother and grandmother. Today, he works with his son, creating exceptional high-end cuisine served in an unstuffy environment on the coast between Sóller and Deià. Lunch here is fun, inspirational, and gastronomic, and the views are on par with the Amalfi Coast. You’ll enjoy the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings, and this will be a two or three-hour affair, so let your hair down and enjoy this to the fullest- the sea views, food, wine, and exemplary service are impeccable.
And then, your driver will take you to your final destination today- Deià, Mallorca’s most charming village. It has long attracted artists and celebrities, including Ava Gardner, Picasso, and Robert Graves, who spent considerable time here. Perched in the mountains just about a mile from the coast, staying here is almost impossibly perfect, quiet, supremely comforting, and life-affirming. You will check in to the best hotel in Mallorca, an ultra-luxury La Residenca, a Belmond hotel whose magnificent grounds spill over the green hillside. You see beauty and charm everywhere you look; this is a haven of peace. The late afternoon and evening are free for you to take advantage of the report’s facilities, like its spa, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and various dining options. Welcome to heaven!
Deià - Sa Calobra - Cala Tuent - Cala Deià - Deià
The northwest of Mallorca’s Serra de Tramuntana (UNESCO World Heritage Site) has THE most breathtaking, unspoiled, and sensational coast; you can’t miss exploring it by boat. Rocky coves, pine forests, rugged hills, and tranquil half-moon bays characterize the shore. Many coves are only accessible by boat, which also offers the possibility to snorkel, swim, and paddleboard in privacy in crystal clear turquoise water so clean you can see the sea bed.
Today, we will organize a private sailing experience to show you the “best of.” First, meet your jovial captain in the port of Sóller and board your elegant, 16-meter wooden sailboat. Then, for the next few hours, sail lazily north along the coast towards the striking Sa Calobra cove. This iconic section of the Mallorcan Coast has been declared UNESCO patrimony and is a visual spectacle. The boat and captain are at your disposal, and you can sunbathe and sip bubbly, go swimming, cruise around on the boat’s paddleboards, go snorkeling, or even stop along the coast and go for a sightseeing hike.
At lunchtime, we will reserve a great table for you at Es Vergeret above Cala Tuent, a wonderful, remote, leafy cove that feels like “Pirates of the Caribbean.” Sit on the shady terrace facing the beach and order succulent seafood paella; this is bliss!
After lunch, enjoy more sailing, photo opportunities, and swimming. Then, your captain will take you south to Cala Deià, called “the artist and painters’ cove.” Your driver will meet you there and take you back to your luxury resort for a few hours to relax, explore the grounds, utilize the facilities, etc.
Dinner tonight is at Michelin-starred Es Racó d’es Teix, just next to your hotel. This welcoming and friendly restaurant in one of Deià’s many stone villas offers guests incredible views of Deià from the terrace and whimsical, colorful, and decadent cuisine. Owners Nori Payeras & Joseph Sauerschell have lovingly run this “Culinary Nirvana” since 1999, having previously worked at some of Europe’s best gourmet restaurants, including Le Manoir Aux Quatre Saisons in Oxford, Four Seasons in Munich, Le Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, and indeed your hotel’s restaurant. The best table on the flowery terrace will be reserved for you, and you will be spoiled with their tasting menu and top Spanish wine pairings. Dinner here is a foodie fantasy. Enjoy!
Deià - Puigpunyet - Deià
The morning is yours to choose from various activities: sleep in, swim, visit the gym, indulge in spa treatments, explore the village of Deià on foot, or sit by the pool and read. At noon, your driver will collect you for a scenic drive south towards the picturesque village of Puigpunyent, nestled in a fertile valley surrounded by oak, pine, almond, olive, and carob trees.
You’ll visit one of our favorite vineyards on the island, run by the charming Alabern family who own Son Puig Winery. Situated on an aristocratic estate complete with a historic villa and lush, semi-tropical flora, this vineyard has been producing wine since the 1500s. The retired Raimundo and his daughter Isabel, the winemaker, now form an exceptional team. They’ll welcome you through their cobblestoned, arched gateway and guide you on a tour culminating in a casual yet enlightening winetasting session. Their wines include whites made from Prensal Blanc and Chardonnay, as well as reds made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, local Callet, Merlot, and Tempranillo.
Afterward, you’re in for a culinary treat. We’ve arranged a lunch for you at Mar&Duix, Hotel Son Net’s premier restaurant and a gem in this corner of the island. Here, you’ll savor the finest in Mallorcan haute cuisine, featuring dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients and produce freshly harvested from the hotel’s garden. The menu boasts items like organic seasonal vegetables, fresh fennel, and cream cheese made from cured Mahón from Minorca, all complemented by top wines from the island’s best vineyards.
After your leisurely Spanish lunch, your driver will escort you back to your Deià resort for one last night. With a variety of dining options we recommend, your evening is free to unfold as you wish.
Deià - Valldemosa - Cala Blava
Today is your last day to discover Mallorca’s countless treasures, and we have saved some unique experiences for the end of your journey. The day begins at Son Moragues, a stunning and incredibly stylish olive oil estate dating back over 700 years, nestled right under Valdemossa hamlet, which you will visit afterward.
The visit and tasting this morning complement Finca Aubocassa, and you will be so glad you visited both. It is not an exaggeration to say that Mallorca’s premium olive oils are some of the best in the world, and by the end of your private workshop this morning, you will taste like a professional. You will also enjoy trying some of the other estate’s products, like their natural olives and a cheeky gin-tasting and organic preserves (yummy tomato and basil jam, purple onion jam, quince, and orange jelly). After an enjoyable morning with cheery hosts, your chauffeur will take you up the hill to the heritage village of Valdemossa.
This sophisticated little town has enchanted artists and musicians for centuries. It became home to pianist Frédéric Chopin in the early 1800s, and he composed his famous preludes here. You will love the quaint streets, cute boutiques, historic bakeries, and flower-covered balconies. If interested, you can visit Chopin’s home and the Real Cartuja (Royal Carthusian Monastery), which houses a 14th-century palace, cloisters, and an old pharmacy.
We will make recommendations for lunch and can reserve a table for you. In addition, there are many charming little restaurants in and out of town. After lunch, head to your final destination, Cap Rocat, in the Bay of Palma. You will spend your last night in an exceptional property reminiscent of an ancient Moorish palace, located steps from the water in a private marine reserve you can access. You will feel like you have entered a dream world!
The afternoon is free to enjoy the facilities, order a massage, swim, grab a pre-dinner cocktail, or hang out with a glass of wine and a book in your suite’s private terraced garden.
Dinner tonight will be the grand slam of this trip, a private, utterly romantic, indulgent, and luxurious affair set up for your right on the seashore under the moonlight. Major wow!
